Here is how to do it. Step 1: Tap the Windows key + R key on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run command dialog box. Step 2: Type services.msc in the box provided and tap OK button
That will start the Windows Services Manager in a new window. Scroll to the bottom of the page and find Windows Time services on the page are listed alphabetically so you should have no problem finding it.
Then enable this service or confirm that it is enabled and working properly. Because, as Windows warns, date and time synchronization is not available if the Windows Time service is stopped or turned off. Step 3: Right-click on the Windows Time service and select Start.
If the Windows Time service is enabled and functioning, but your PC’s time is still incorrect or not synchronized with Microsoft’s time server, you will need to restart the service. Right click on Windows Time and select Restart.

Register the Windows Time DLL again
Some apps and services on Windows use Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files to perform their functions and activities effectively. The DLL file responsible for the Windows Time service (W32Time) is the w32time.dll file. If this file is missing, deleted, or corrupted, you may have problems synchronizing your computer’s time with the Windows server. Re-registering w32time.dll will keep your PC in sync regularly. Here is how to register it on your pc. Step 1: Tap the Windows key + X button simultaneously on your keyboard to open the Windows Quick Access menu. Step 2: Select ‘Command Prompt (Admin)’.
Step 3: Type the command below into the command prompt console and press Enter button regsvr32 w32time.dll
Within a minute, you should see a notification that w32time.dll has been successfully registered on your PC.
Step 4: Restart your computer and check if your PC’s time is now correct and properly synchronized with Microsoft server. Note: Make sure your computer is connected to an active internet connection.
Replace the CMOS battery
If you are sure that everything is fine with your computer’s Windows Time services and sync configuration, but the time and date remains inaccurate or often out of sync, especially after the system reboots, the CMOS battery is very likely (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) of your PC is defective.
The CMOS chip is located on the motherboard. It keeps track of your PC’s time and date as well as other configurations, up-to-date every time you turn off your computer.
